Variety = Balance & Moderation = Enjoyment

Nutrition is something very personal and an inseparable part of our everyday life.  Balanced eating is often confused with the “ideal diet” or the “ideal weight.” So, while we all try to reach our ideal weight, we end up trapping ourselves — and our weight-management efforts — in restrictive “magic bullet diets” and absolute numbers. This mindset leads to irregular and excessive calorie reduction (1000–800 calories per day), which in turn reduces the body’s daily supply of essential nutrients. This is the most significant factor behind exhaustion of the body’s energy reserves, a dramatic drop in basal metabolic rate and the rapid regain of lost weight.

What ultimately defines success in weight management is the intake of nutrients tailored to each person’s individual needs, combined with a gradual change in eating habits. Eating a variety of foods instead of monotony and enjoying personal tastes instead of deprivation, are key ingredients for succesfull long-term weight loss.

We believe that a balanced diet and a change in eating habits — based on the principles of Balance, Variety, Enjoyment and Moderation, without falling into nutrition myths or “magic potions” — will ensure safe and permanent regulation of your metabolism and body weight.

With our guidance and support, the effort you dedicate exclusively to yourself is worth it — because it will make you healthier and happier.

Nutrition & Food

A balanced diet doesn’t depend on absolute numbers (e.g., “I must eat exactly 1,800 calories every day”), nor on nutritional tricks (e.g., “I take a multivitamin every 3 days”).

The main factor that makes our daily diet balanced is the quality of the foods we eat every day. Quality foods are those that offer many different nutrients to our body — such as fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, fresh whole-grain bread, fish, lean meat, dairy products, olive oil, nuts and more.

The second important factor determining whether our diet is balanced is the quantity we consume. A teenager who trains systematically in track and field or a combat sport has different nutritional needs than an adult who works 8 hours in an office.

The third factor that can affect the balance of our diet is variety in the foods we eat. Eating monotonously or being fixated on certain foods keeps us from consuming seasonal foods with different nutrients, creating imaginative dishes or using different ingredients even for the simplest combinations.

Ultimately, a balanced diet depends on the daily choice of foods that are fresh and tasty, consumed in specific quantities according to our age, lifestyle and individual nutritional needs.
